Our Small School Sports Program
Meridian Elementary School is proud to offer a small-school sports program that gives students the opportunity to participate in athletics, compete, and represent their school.
Our teams compete against other small schools throughout Sutter County, creating opportunities for students to meet new friends, build relationships, and experience the excitement of school athletics.
Who Can Participate?
Students in 5th through 8th grade are eligible to participate in our school sports program.
Sports We Offer
Our athletic offerings may vary from year to year depending on student participation, scheduling, and opportunities available with other small schools.
⚽ Soccer
Boys and girls participate on separate soccer teams, providing students with opportunities to compete, improve their skills, and work together toward a common goal.
🏀 Basketball
Boys and girls basketball are offered as separate teams, helping students build athletic skills while learning the importance of communication, teamwork, and perseverance.
🏐 Volleyball
Girls volleyball gives students an opportunity to grow as athletes, encourage their teammates, and represent Meridian with pride.
Coed Sports Opportunities
Because we are a small school, our athletic opportunities can sometimes look a little different from year to year. Depending on participation and scheduling, we may offer coed teams such as coed flag football or coed volleyball.
These opportunities allow even more students to participate, learn new skills, and experience the benefits of being part of a team.
